Standard document:
TU U 14-00195452.030-99 - copper rod MKLPS. Specifications Mark MKLPS - copper wire rod, obtained by continuous casting and rolling of the cathodes by DSTU GOST 546:2004 (Standard 546-2001), light does not require subsequent etching.
Material:
- Manufacture of wire rod for Class A and B are used cathodes copper brand M00k on DSTU GOST 546:2004 (Standard 546-2001); - Manufacture of wire rod for Class C uses copper cathodes grade M0k on DSTU GOST 546:2004 (Standard 546-2001).
Purpose:
The rod used for the manufacture of electrical conductors. Rods are manufactured following quality classes: A, B and C. Requirements to hire according TU U 14-00195452.030-99. Rod diameters and tolerances on them should be as indicated in the table below:

Surface Conditions:
1. The surface of the rod must be clean, bright, no cracks, backfin, captivity, foreign bodies, shells, scales, traces of oxidation.
2. Allow certain surface defects (dents, risks, scratch) if their depth does not exceed 0.1 mm for wire rods, Class A, B, and 0.3 mm for wire rods Class C
3. The total thickness of the oxide film on the surface of clarified copper rod is shown in Table

Specific electrical resistance of copper wire rod in a position to supply, measured at + 20 º C must not exceed:
Class A, B 0,01718 ohm × mm2/m
Class C 0,01724 ohm × mm2/m
Packaging:
Wire rods must be reeled in one segment of the mass coils 1000-4000 kg. Wire rods must be reeled in without the entanglement of the coils and the overlapping of turns that impede the free unwind at drawing.
The coils set on a tray and tied in at least three places, steel tape, eliminating spillage or skewed coils.
Coils rods packed in a polyethylene film which protects the product from moisture.
Foreign analogue copper rod MKLPS Class A
- Rod Brand Cu-ETP to DIN EN 1977:1998;
- Rod Brand C11000 (ETP) as per ASTM B 49.
